PAIN Check In From Barcelona - "Everything Tastes Better With Pyro In Your Mouth!"
April 14, 2008, 16 years ago
PAIN, fronted by HYPOCRISY's Peter Tägtgren, has checked in from the NIGHTWISH tour with the following update:
"So, what has happened since the last blog? A lot. I don't know when to start. Well... let's start with France. We did five shows in France which all were awesome! A huge thanks to all Pain and Nightwish fans for your fantastic suport. I guess France is our friend.
The last show in France was also the last show on the tour for Markku and Teemu, Nightwish pyrotechnicians. They decided to have some fun on their last day of the tour so first they blow up our bus. They put some radio controlled stageflashes under the engine and then asked our driver to move the bus. It's impossible to describe his supprised face when the pyro was detonated with a loud bang on shitloads of smoke while the whole Nightwish crew laughed their asses off. Second, they decided to make a practical joke with us as well. It was accomplished when we played our last song during the evening and they trigged lots of pyro and propane flames during the begining and the end of the song. Guess there was some suprised faces both on stage and in the audience that evening. Thank you Markku and Teemu for adding splendour to the tour!
After the show we invited some fans to a small afterparty with Nightwish and then left France for country #17.
The day after was a day off. We woke up in a really warm an sunny Barcelona and spent the whole day in the grass with cold beers and nice company. At the end of the day when the sun didn't warm us anymore we moved our red foreheads inside the Nightwish hotel. After that... everything is black.
Today we had a really nice walk in town and are really eager to go on stage in a couple of hours.
Everything tastes better with pyro in your mouth!"
