Partial DARK ANGEL Reunion Occurs!

Dedicating the DARK ANGEL appearance to thrash legends DESTRUCTION and KREATOR, original Dark Angel guitarist Jim Durkin and drummer "Mayhem" Mendez stayed on stage after the DREAMS OF DAMNATION set and invited up vocalist Ron Rinehart (OIL/ex-Dark Angel), guitarist Eric Meyer (SWINE/ex-Dark Angel), and bassist Jeremy Peto (ex-MORGION) on September 30 at
The Galaxy Theater in Santa Ana, CA. The last time Jim, Ron, and Eric shared a stage was in Boston, Massachusetts 13 years ago. They TORE into ‘Burning Of Sodom’, the second song off their thrash-classic second album Darkness Descends and closed the evening with ‘Merciless Death’ (from We Have Arrived). In the audience were guitarist Mike Wead of MERCYFUL FATE and MARDUK bassist B. War. Dreams Of Damnation vocalist Loana dP Valencia commented about the evening: “To have been on-stage to sing back ups on ‘Merciless Death’ with one of my own favorite thrash metal bands was a privilege and honor that is beyond words to describe. I think I can die happy now.”
