PAUL DI'ANNO Undergoing Knee Surgery Following Outpouring Of Support From The Fans

UK-based Planet Radio is reporting that former Iron Maiden frontman Paul Di’Anno is undergoing knee surgery this week in Croatia thanks to an ongoing crowdfunding campaign by his fans.
The 63-year-old metal vocalist, who developed sepsis in 2015, is currently in a wheelchair and has been waiting for major surgery on both his knees.
Back in January, Kastro Pergjoni from the Cart & Horses pub in London – aka the birthplace of Iron Maiden where the band played many embryonic gigs – launched a crowdfunder on JustGiving for Paul Di’Anno to be treated privately. Incredibly, fans raised more than £13,000 in a matter of months, which is roughly the cost for surgery on one of Paul’s knees.
A second crowdfunding campaign was launched over the summer and Paul Di’Anno fans have already pledged £9,581 of a £15,000 target.
