PORCUPINE TREE have been confirmed for the following festival appearances in June:
June
17th - Greenfield Festival - Interlaken, Switzerland
(PT to appear on main stage at 4pm for a 45 minute performance - bill also includes SMASHING PUMPKINS, INCUBUS, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, EDITORS, THE BRAVERY)
23 - Southside Festival - Neuhausen, Germany(PT to appear for a 60 minute main stage performance at approximately 4.30 pm - bill also includes PEARL JAM, SONIC YOUTH, KINGS OF LEON)
24 - Hurricane Festival - Scheesel, Germany(PT to appear for a 60 minute main stage performance at approximately 4.30 pm - bill also includes Pearl Jam, Sonic Youth, Kings of Leon)
As previously reported, there is a six-minute preview of music from the new Porcupine Tree album, Fear Of A Blank Planet, available on the band's MySpace page. Guitar legends Alex Lifeson (RUSH) and Robert Fripp (KING CRIMSON) are guesting on the album, due out through Atlantic Records in North America on April 24th and the 23rd in Europe via Roadrunner. Lifeson appears on the track 'Anesthetize', while Fripp solos on 'Way Out There'. The album will be available in stereo and 5.1 versions in both a 2-disc limited special edition, as well as a DVD-Audio release. The complete tracklisting is as follows: Fear of a Blank Planet' (7.28), 'My Ashes' (5.07), 'Anesthetize' (17.42), 'Sentimental' (5.26), 'Way Out of Here' (7.37), 'Sleep Together' (7.28).
