QUEEN's ROGER TAYLOR Receives OBE, Dedicates It To Late FOO FIGHTERS Drummer TAYLOR HAWKINS

Queen drummer, Roger Taylor, was honoured with an OBE (Order Of The British Empire award) at Windsor Castle on March 30, and he dedicated it to late Foo Fighters drummer, Taylor Hawkins.

It was revealed on March 25 that Taylor Hawkins had passed away at the age of 50. Foo Fighters were on tour in South America and were due to perform in Bogota, Colombia. Hawkins' official cause of death has not been revealed.

"My whole family and his whole family were very close," says Roger. "He was, my wife called him, sunshine in human form. He was the most wonderful man and I can’t quite believe that I’m not going to see him again."

Roger received his honour at Windsor Castle from the Prince of Wales and spoke afterward saying Taylor was one of his "very greatest friends" and would "love to" dedicate his award to him.
