RECKLESS LOVE - "The New Album Is Due Out In Autumn"
February 26, 2011, 13 years ago
Greece's Rockpages Web Magazine did an exclusive interview with Olli Herman, the frontman of the Finnish hard rockers RECKLESS LOVE. Here's an excerpt where Herman talks about the band's upcoming record and the recent reissue of the band's self titled debut record:
Rockpages.gr: In November of 2010, you reissued the album with some bonus tracks and a cool subtitle (Cool Edition). Was it really necessary to have a reissue only after nine months from the initial pressing?
Herman: "Of course it was!! When I like a band, I just love to get my hands on some "extras". It's always great to give the fans something more, even if it's only nine months. This was also a very good idea in the record company’s opinion. That's music business at its best!!"
Rockpages.gr: In this EP, we get to listen to an acoustic version of the DEF LEPPARD smash hit 'Hysteria'…why you decided to go with an acoustic take and did you rehearse an electric version of the song?
Herman: "We just wanted to explore our acoustic side and get a new angle of Reckless Love to our fans. We chose the song cause we all love it and we hadn't recorded a cover before. It also felt like a suitable choice since we recorded the acoustic session in London UK. Yes, we do play an electrified version of it live sometimes."
Rockpages.gr: Have you written any new songs and when should we expect the second record?
Herman: "We've written plenty of new material and the actual recording starts this spring. The new album is due sometime next autumn."
