RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS Pay Tribute To TAYLOR HAWKINS, Remember Touring With NIRVANA On SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show

Red Hot Chili Peppers appeared on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show today to promote their new album Unlimited Love.
Talking to Howard Stern and co-host Robin Quivers, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ wide-ranging conversation touched upon John Frusciante’s decision to leave the Red Hot Chili Peppers and what brought him back to the band.

Red Hot Chili Peppers also recalling touring with Nirvana and witnessing the band’s beautifully “combustible” dynamic.

Additionally, Chad Smith spoke about his long-running friendship with Taylor Hawkins.

“I love Taylor. He was one of my best friends,” said Smith. “We’re still shocked and so saddened by his passing,” he added.

“And he loved life and was a real beacon and full of positive energy. I’m gonna miss him so much,” said Chad Smith.

“We spent a lot of time together. I love his family and just trying to be there for him … and the outpouring from everywhere, not only musicians, but people [from] all walks of life showed how much he was so loved.”

Red Hot Chili Peppers’ new album Unlimited Love is available now.

The Howard Stern Show, which airs on SiriusXM channel Howard 100, is broadcast live Mondays through Wednesdays starting at 7:00 AM ET. The full show is also available on the SiriusXM app.
