Post Chronicle has issued the following report:

The families of the 100 people killed in a blaze at a GREAT WHITE gig in 2003 have blasted the American rock group after they announced they are playing a charity gig - for seals.

The fire, at a club in Rhode Island, was caused by an ill-advised pyrotechnics show, and claimed the life of the band's guitarist Ty Longley.

The Once Bitten Twice Shy stars have been called "deeply insensitive" by survivors and relatives still mourning the loss of their friends and family because a fund set up to help those affected by the tragedy is out of money.

Great White have responded to the backlash, claiming they had been told not to fundraise, but charity organiser Victoria Potvin says, "There are people who will need help for the rest of their lives."
