REVERENCE Say New Album Should Be In April; Metal Messiah Radio Appearance Scheduled
January 18, 2012, 12 years ago
Bryan Holland (ex-TOKYO BLADE, ARREST) from the US Power Metal band REVERENCE also featuring Todd Michael Hall (JACK STARR'S BURNING STARR, HARLET), Pete Rossi (SANXTION, OVERLAND), Steve "Doc Killdrums" Wacholz (founding member of SAVATAGE, CRIMSON GLORY), Frank Kruckel (ex-TOKYO BLADE, OVERLOADED, MINDCANDY) and Tony Rossi (OVERLAND) have issued the following update:
"As you can probably tell things are picking up a bit in the promo dept. and will continue up to and beyond the release of the new album, which we are shooting for sometime in April. We are still doing some minor editing and actually adding in more guitars, we're nearly completed with those sessions which is making it nice and Heavy! Todd is currently tracking his vocals, which I assure you are nothing short of spectacular! So far there is no title for the album, the track listing has not been sorted either, we wrote 15 songs, recorded 13 and will likely cut another one-two for the final release, so there is still lots of work to be done.We just got the first view of the cover artwork which I can only describe as completely kick ass!! A little tweaking is needed but very little, our artist whom we will reveal shortly, has worked with us before with Tokyo Blade and has worked with many other high profile metal bands.
Booking shows will also be a priority, but is in the hands of our booking and management agents. We're hoping to be able to do some shows in the States before heading to Europe."
When asked what fans can expect the new Reverence album to sound like guitarist Holland commented : "I would describe Reverence as a mix of old-school power metal with a bit of a modern vibe, big soaring choruses, vintage style metal riffage and classic style melodic soloing and harmony leads. Feedback from the early demos has been overwhelming so we feel like we're on the right track!."
Bryan Holland will be interviewed on Metal Messiah Radio this Saturday, January 21st at 10 PM EST.
