After fourteen years, Sambora really felt the need to record a solo album. He states: "With Aftermath Of The Lowdown I was able to free myself from the business side of music and feel the artistic freedom I don't have in the band."

Sambora released his third solo album, Aftermath Of The Lowdown, via Dangerbird Records in September.
