According to The Associated Press, a pair of veteran rockers are now the proud owners of awards for their work in country music.
ROBERT PLANT won a CMT Award Monday night for teaming up with ALISON KRAUSS on the song 'Gone, Gone, Gone (Done Moved On)'. Plant said it was "peculiar" to be getting an award. He thanked his LED ZEPPELIN bandmembers for getting him through his teenage years and thanks Krauss for helping him get through his 50's.
BON JOVI won his CMT for best collaborative video for 'Till We Ain't Strangers Anymore." He wasn't there, but Rimes accepted it and cracked that she had "a lot of fun rolling around with Jon in bed." But afterward, she gazed at her husband in the crowd and added: "Sorry, honey. I love you. You're hotter."
