RUSH - A Night For NEIL PEART Memorial Celebration To Finally Go Ahead In October

Rush fans will finally have an opportunity to gather and celebrate the legacy of the band's late drummer, Neil Peart. Delayed for the last couple of years due to COVID, the event, dubbed "A Night For Neil", will now take place on October 22 at the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines, Ontario (Canada).
A message states: "The show has been rescheduled to Saturday, October 22nd to ensure easy travel plans for the many international fans who are planning on attending this event. We have just announced the venue is back to full capacity and you do not require a vaccine passport to enter. Currently masks are still mandatory. All tickets purchased will be accepted for the new date. Those who can not make the new date can get a refund at point of purchase up to 14 days prior to the event."

Neil Ellwood Peart was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on September 12, 1952, and raised in St. Catharines. He became the drummer and main lyricist for Rush in 1974 and spent more than four decades with the band. Along with his bandmates, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, Neil was made an Officer of the Order of Canada in 1996. He passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, after a more than three-year battle with glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer.
