Ryan Van Poederooyen Uploads DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT Drum-Cam Footage From Australia

TERROR SYNDROME/DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT drummer Ryan Van Poederooyen has issued the following update:
"Here's the first drum cam of 2012! This is a drum-cam video of the song 'Planet Of The Apes' off of the DTP album Deconstruction. It's an 11 minute plus epic tune with lots of different time signatures, crazy grooves (fast and slow) and some fun fills. This footage was taken in front of 1500 people at our Sold-Out Headlining show with MESHUGGAH at The Forum, in Melbourne, Australia on January 29th, 2012. I recorded this song on the album as well.
I'm happy with the take although it was an interesting one... It was only the second time we ever played it live and I realized right before starting the song that my main right Pedal had come off my bass drum! My tech and I assessed it quickly and I decided to play the song with the pedal not entirely on the bass drum otherwise we would have to stop the show... stressful decision but it panned out in the end. Thank God for the industrial strength Velcro I put on the bottom of the pedal that stuck really well to my drum carpet. Thank you Trick Pedals for that! Oh yeah... a couple guys from Meshuggah were watching side-stage too... just a little added pressure... Haha.
Hope you dig the video, it's a cool song performed in front of an awesome crowd on a great night in Melbourne along with sharing the stage with one of our favourite metal bands of all time - Meshuggah. Easily one of my most memorable gigs. Enjoy!”
