Swedish metallers SCARPOINT have entered Stockholm's Fear & Loathing Studio (owned by members of MESHUGGAH and CLAWFINGER) to begin recording their as-yet-untitled second album. Produced by Jocke Skog of CLAWFINGER and SCARPOINT, the CD is tentatively due in early 2010.

Drummer Eric Thyselius has issued the following studio update: "So day one has almost come to an end and it feels awesome. We started the day with checking the sound of the drums and fixing some stuff in order to start recording. Even though the recording starts Monday (August 31st) we started recording and we ended up with two complete songs. I'm having so much fun with Jocke Skog and Tomas Haake, they are truly a bunch of sick fuckers."
