Vocalist Sebastian Bach has posted the photo above and issued the following update:
"Such a pleasure last night with Alanis Morrissette. I can remember, decades ago, my mom calling me on the phone all excited saying 'Honey! There's this really nice girl on MuchMusic right now and she says that her favorite singer is Sebastian Bach!' I was like, 'Mom! Who is that?' and Mom said 'Her name is Alanis Morrissette!'And from that day on, I have followed this girl's career. What an amazing singer! I have admired her talent for years. It was so fun to see her last night! Such a nice person and such a gifted musician. Rock on Alanis! You rock hard! Hope to see you again real soon!"
Bach recently checked in with another lesson in Canadian music:
"Let me tell you all about a band called Rough Trade.""It's impossible to teach someone how to be cool. There are cool bands, and then there are not-cool bands. Rough Trade was an extremely cool band that I grew up listening to in Canada in the late '70s and early '80s."
"This band broke all the rules and all the stereotypes. Lead singer Carole Pope is defined by sexuality, and the lyrics and sounds on her albums were very titillating to a 12-year-old boy roaming the high school halls of suburban Canada at that time. Last night I got to meet Carole Pope for the first time, and what an honour it was. She inspired me at an early age to be myself. Be an individual. Stand up for what I believe in.
