As previously reported, LIGHTNING SWORDS OF DEATH will be joining up with BEHEMOTH for their entire Evangelia Amerika tour in 2010, replacing SHINING.

Shining have issued the following:

"We are very sorry to have to announce that despite all the hard work and effort of everyone involved in the organisation of the North American tour in January, Shining will not be able to travel to the US/Canada because of some last minute visa problems that have arisen.

We are very disappointed by this, and we will do our best to get over as soon as we can."

Shining were among the acts who performed at the Eindhoven Metal Meeting, which took place December 19th, 2009 at the Effenaar in Eindhoven, Netherlands.

Video footage of the band's performance can be seen below, while photos can be found here.

As previously reported, Shining have completed work on their seventh album and have revealed details and the cover art.

Scheduled for release on Indie Recordings in March/April 2010, the 6-track album will have the title Shining VII - Född Förlorare (Born Loser).

The album (artwork at left, click to enlarge) features the following tracklisting:

'Förtvivlan, Min Arvedel'

'Tiden Läker Inga Sår'

'Människa O'Avskyvärda Människa'

'Tillsammans Är Vi Allt'

'I Nattens Timma'

'FFF'

According to founder and frontman Niklas Kvarforth (SKITLIV), with Född Förlorare, Shining will “take a deep dive into the darkest of all musical genres you could imagine”.

Making guest appearances on the album are Erik Danielsson (WATAIN), Peter Bjargo (ARCANA) and NORDMAN.

More information about Shining can be found at the band’s MySpace page.
