SIGNUM REGIS "In The Final Phase Of Recording Second Album"
July 9, 2009, 15 years ago
Slovak-Swedish melodic metal band SIGNUM REGIS, featuring vocalist Göran Edman (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, GLORY, JOHN NORUM) are in the final phase of the recording of the second album.
According to a press release, "all drums, guitars, bass and most of the keyboards are recorded and pre-mixed. There are also vocals for three songs done, one of them is a cover of HELLOWEEN's 'Sole Survivor' from their well-known album Master Of The Rings (1994). The performance of Göran Edman is here really mind-blowing.
There are still few lyrics and vocals to be done. The album should be finished this autumn.
Signum Regis recently parted ways with drummer Ludek Struhar and replaced him with Adrian Ciel (ex-VINDEX). According to the band, "The reason is (for Struhar's departure is) that Ludek is currently too busy with his non-musical activities and doesn't have enough time for drumming. There is no bad blood behind."
Signum Regis' debut, self-titled debut album, which was mastered by Tommy Hansen (HELLOWEEN) at Jailhouse Studios in Denmark. The CD, which came out in Japan (Avalon/Marquee Records) in July, was released in the US on August 26 and in Europe on August 29, 2008 via Locomotive Records.
Signum Regis has not yet announced a label home for its second album.
