SLAYER Frontman Tom Araya Talks About New Songs, MANSON Tour, Thrashes Death Magnetic In New Podcast
February 7, 2009, 15 years ago
SLAYER frontman Tom Araya spoke with Headbangers Blog recently about working on new material, the upcoming tour with MARILYN MANSON and remarks about METALLICA's new album Death Magnetic.
About new material, Araya says that "at the moment, everyone is working on stuff, ideas and things. We're probably going to get together and hash out some ideas. I'm hoping that's going to be soon."
As for a planned date to hit the studio, Araya adds: "We don't like to set dates. We pretty much like to see where we are at and whether or not we are ready to go into the studio. At the moment, we need to get together and see what we have and if we like it. And once we work it out and think it's great, then we'll sit there and say 'let's go in the studio'. We like to make sure we have complete ideas, as opposed to partial ideas."
