Solstice were formed in 1990 by guitarist Dennis Munoz and drummer Alex Marquez with vocalist/guitarist Rob Barrett. In 1991 they recorded a demo produced by legendary producer Jim Morris (Morrisound Recording). In 1992 their debut album The Sentencing was recorded but due to internal problems the band broke up the following year. In 1994 Munoz and Marquez played with a hardcore band called Anger and in 1995 Solstice was reformed with a new line-up. A second album titled Pray was released but they soon disbanded once again. In 2000 Solstice was resurrected once again and they were working on material for a third album but it seems as if nothing came out of it.
