STEPHEN PEARCY Talks Working With RATT Guitarist WARREN DEMARTINI - "We Could Write Songs All Day Long; We Could Put A Record Out In A Week"

Ratt founder Stephen Pearcy recently guested on On the Road To Rock and discussed various topics including bands using backing tapes, his current Sunset Strip Experience tour, the non-status of Ratt as a band, and more.
When host Clint Switzer suggests that Ratt would have been perfect on The Stadium Tour with Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard, Pearcy offers the following:
"It's a no-brainer. It's called good business, but unfortunately, in our scenario, Ratt as far as the band, I'm not in control of some of the other guys' lives and what they wanna do. They've been there and done that. It's not even a financial thing. There's always pluses and minuses to the crime, and the crime could be putting us out there and not having it work. But honestly, without Robbin (Crosby / guitar), we've tried to fill shoes, and it's all good, but I'd rather put Ratt music out there with me than a band you're calling Ratt.
I've asked the other guys, as did one of the original members, let's get together, try to figure this out and do some business because that's what it is. And if somebody doesn't, they don't. People ask me, 'What's Warren (DeMartini / guitar) doing?' Well, fuck, I don't know. Give me a call, dude, let's chit-chat. What are you doing? We could write songs all day long, Warren and I. We could put a record out in a fucking week."
Back in October 2022, Pearcy - pictured below with co-producer Ron Mancuso at Studio77 - revealed details for his upcoming album, Legacy.
In the Facebook post, Pearcy states: "It’s coming together, finally picked the songs, finished sequencing, next mix and mastering. Just picking the songs (21) was tough enough, so many there might have to be a part two. Going to be way cool kidz, unreleased never before heard Ratt songs, solo, re-recordings and versions. Once mastered I’ll be able to give everyone a taste of what’s to come. So many great songs never before heard, now it’s time. Release dates TBA."
Back in August 2022, Golden Robot Records announced the signing of Stephen Pearcy.
As the founder, lead singer, and songwriter of the metal rock band Ratt, Pearcy led his creation to mega multi-platinum success year after year from 1984 - 1991. Ratt climbed up the charts with singles from Out Of The Cellar soaring past Prince’s "Lets Go Crazy", Van Halen’s "Panama", Madonna’s "Borderline" and David Bowie's "Blue Jean". The record generated top ten singles followed by sold out tours throughout the world. This momentum remained with every proceeding Ratt album to include their most recent release of Infestation in 2010.
Throughout Ratt’s nearly four decades of success with Pearcy at its helm, they released eight albums and played thousands of shows worldwide all the while selling over 20 million records.
Given the mammoth success of Ratt, Pearcy was looking for extraordinary when choosing a label and the only label deemed agile enough for the task was Golden Robot Global Entertainment headed by CEO and President, Mark Alexander-Erber with Pearcy explaining, "It is with great pleasure to announce my having signed on with Golden Robot Records. Choosing a label to handle my music spanning 40 plus years in the industry is no easy task. Alexander-Erber has also expressed his excitement at the finally getting Pearcy over the dotted line after years of courting "Out of the hundreds and hundreds of signings we have had over many years, I have to say after a long while courting Stephen I’m absolutely honoured he has joined our Golden Robot Family, helping us to bring rock back to the forefront. He truly is one of the best and to be part of our roster is wonderful, we have some fabulous releases planned for 2022 /23."
