You have until 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday to bid on a portrait of Aerosmith vocalist Steven Tyler made entirely of Skittles, reports Meredith Goldstein of BostonGlobe.com.
This is a replica of the candy-art piece that was featured in one of Sunday night’s Super Bowl commercials (which can be seen below). In the ad, Tyler coaches the animated portrait as it tries to sing the Aerosmith hit “Dream On”. As of Monday evening, the high bid on the eBay auction of the replica was $5,100. 100% of the money raised will go to Janie’s Fund, Tyler’s organization that helps girls who’ve suffered abuse and neglect.
Potential bidders should note: This is a replica of the portrait shown in the Skittles ad. The original was CGI. The portrait measures 45.25" x 37.25" x 2.5" and weighs approximately 50 lbs.
