Death/doom maestros SWALLOW THE SUN will be releasing the title track from latest album New Moon as a digital single on November 2nd 2009 via Spinefarm Records UK. The single comes with 'Servant Of Sorrow' as the B-side, which features guitarist Steve Rothery of MARILLION fame as special guest.

Comments mainman/band guitarist Juha Raivio: “This is a dream come true, Steve Rothery has always been the most influential guitar player for me. Being a long time Marillion fan, it is an honour beyond words having him playing on one of our songs. This really shows the spirit of a genuine progressive musician, to do this strange collaboration."

The band's new album, New Moon, will be released November 4th in Finland, November 9th in UK and November 10th in North America via Spinefarm/Universal Music.

Produced and mixed by Jens Borgen (OPETH, PARADISE LOST) and featuring eight brand new tracks, this is the follow-up release to 2008’s Plague Of Butterflies mini-album, and is the first to feature new drummer Kai Hahto, who replaces Pasi Pasanen.

The final tracklisting for the album is:

'These Woods Breathe Evil'

'Falling World'

'Sleepless Swans'

'And Heavens Cried Blood'

'Lights On The Lake (Horror pt. III)'

'New Moon'

'Servant Of Sorrow'

'Weight Of The Dead'

According to Raivio, this album “is the most progressive, sorrowful and beautiful we have done so far… and the most evil as well! This time around, you can never be sure where the songs are going to take you. The depths of hell and heaven are carved deep into these songs.”
