SYMPHONY X Bassist MIKE LEPOND Working On “Heavy/Power Metal” Solo Album

SYMPHONY X bassist Mike LePond is working on his first-ever solo album, to be released under the banner MIKE LEPOND'S SILENT ASSASSINS.
He states: "It is a heavy metal/power metal record that combines all the influences of my favorite bands from the past and present. It is a full hour of headbanging riffs, kick-ass vocals, and epic tales. There is something in there for any style of metal you enjoy! Metal Mike (HALFORD, TESTAMENT) is on lead guitar and Alan Tecchio (AUTUMN HOUR, WATCHTOWER) is on vocals.”
LePond has started a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the album. He says, “At this point I am still in the recording process. With your kind help, my aim is to get this thing released by March, 2014. Reaching my $6000 goal will pay for the recording, mixing and mastering. All donations beyond that will go into the promotion. The sky is the limit! The more funding I get, the more I can promote. Advertising, distribution, hiring a manager, hiring a public relations firm, merchandising, radio promotion, touring, making videos etc, all require tremendous outlays of money.
