TEMPLE OF THIEVES - CRYPTOPSY, Ex-NILE Members Unite In New Project
December 21, 2010, 13 years ago
Former NILE members Chief Spires (bass) and John Ehlers (guitar) have hooked up with CRYPTOPSY drummer Flo Mounier and Atlanta-based singer Michael Rock in the new project called TEMPLE OF THIEVES.
According to their bio, "the material is metal, but definitely not death metal. More along the lines of concrete trance-like rock/metal riffs. Chief knew Flo Mounier (Cryptopsy) from a few years on tours such as Death Across America and various tours with SIX FEET UNDER over in Europe. He and Flo became close friends and soon realized they had alot of the same musical interest outside of death metal. They both were huge fans of bands from DEFTONES to RADIOHEAD to A PERFECT CIRCLE."
Temple Of Thieves have ten new songs being written. All material to this point has been mixed, produced and mastered by Chief Spires. The band seeking a label that will help them with their goal of releasing an entire album.
The first four songs from Temple Of Thieves - 'Poison The Well', 'Listen To Reason', 'Crutch' and 'Sinful Communion' - are streaming using the ReverbNation TuneWidget below (click songs):
