THE SANITY DAYS - featuring former ONSLAUGHT singer Steve Grimmett (1989's In Search Of Sanity), guitarist Alan Jordan (2007's Killing Peace), bassist Jase Stallard (1985's Power From Hell and 1986's The Force), and drummer Steve Grice (all Onslaught albums) have announced that they will be releasing their debut album with Candlelight Records in the spring of 2014.
Steve Beatty, the head of Candlelight Records, comments: “I am thrilled to have The Sanity Days on board and it's a pleasure to be working with a band with such a great pedigree in British metal."
A recent update from the band about the album reads: “Vocals for title track now on demo and sounding just how we wanted it to sound, evil, melodic and yet disturbing at the same time. I think the lead breaks them self-need a mention, some great axe work going on here from Jordan. DIO Tribute song, this is not a cover of a Dio song (by-the-way), but our very own tribute to the great man himself is now being worked on and sounding chilling and very (BLACK) SABBATH like. We are toying with the idea of asking some well-known vocalists if they could join Steve on the vocals. Candlelight will be starting their publicity machine rolling next week so it’s all systems go here. We can't wait to get this album which is a band effort on the shelves next year.”
