THE WHO To Support New Album By Launching Radio Station

THE WHO’s Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey are supporting their new album and tour by opening their own radio station. The pair – whose new album Endless Wire is their first new material together in 24 years – are launching their own American channel, which will be available on Sirius Satellite Radio. New songs, broadcasts from their current American and Canadian tours, as well as archive live broadcasts will all feature.

As previously reported, Endless Wire. the long-awaited follow-up to 1982's It's Hard album, is due out on October 31st. The tracklisting is as follows: 'Fragments', 'Man In A Purple Dress', 'Mike Post Theme', 'In The Ether', 'Black Widow Eyes', 'Two Thousand Years', 'God Speaks To Marty Robbins', 'It's Not Enough', 'You Stand By Me', and the full length Wire And Glass mini-opera: 'Sound Round', 'Pick Up The Peace', 'Unholy Trinity', 'Trilby's Piano', 'Out On The Endless Wire', 'Fragments Of Fragments', 'We Got A Hit', 'They Made My Dreams Come True', 'Mirror Door', and 'Tea & Theatre'.

The Who launched their first full-scale US tour in four years on September 12th in Philadelphia at the Wachovia Center. The group's touring lineup is rounded out by veteran keyboardist John "Rabbit" Bundrick, drummer Zak Starkey, bassist Pino Palladino, and Townshend's brother Simon on rhythm guitar and vocals.
