THE WINERY DOGS Enter Studio To Record Second Album; Set For Release This Fall Via Loud & Proud Records

The Winery Dogs - Mike Portnoy (drums), Richie Kotzen (vocals, guitars) and Billy Sheehan (bass) - have entered a Los Angeles recording studio to start work on the follow-up to their debut album, which will be self-produced and released in North America this fall on Loud & Proud Records via RED (a division of Sony Music Entertainment) and in the rest of the world via earMUSIC.

Details will be announced in the coming months, although fans are already getting news about the band’s fall US tour, which is set to kick off October 3rd in Ridgefield, CT at the Ridgefield Playhouse.

"I am thrilled to be back in the studio with Mike and Billy recording the second Winery Dogs record,” proclaims Richie Kotzen. “I mentioned in an interview months ago that I thought based on how we’ve grown as a band, that this record could expand creatively beyond what we did on record one. After only two weeks of recording, I am convinced this sentiment is true. I can’t wait to see where this all goes and share it with our listeners."

"We are excited to unleash The Winery Dogs’ second album,” says Loud & Proud Owner and President Tom Lipsky. “The band took the world by storm with their debut album; fans went crazy and musicians and critics voiced their respect. The new album is going to take them to another level, and we are proud to be part of that journey."

The Winery Dogs welcome fans to Dog Camp 2015. It is scheduled for July 27th to 31st at Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, NY. An unforgettable program for musicians and fans of all levels, interests, and ages. This is the opportunity for campers to get up close and personal with three legends as they attend instrument-specific clinics, learn songwriting mechanics, and enjoy intimate performances from the group.

The Winery Dogs have posted a round table Skype discussion about Dog Camp 2015:

The band recently issued the following statement: “We’ve all had some memorable summers. However, The Dog Camp 2014 really made for one hell of a summer the first time around - which none of us will forget anytime soon. That’s why we’re back again for round two in 2015. The first installment was everything we had hoped it would be and so much more. This time, The Winery Dogs will have a new album, enhanced curriculum, a few surprises, and the wisdom of running this party once before. This will be fun!”
