THORIUM Ink Deal With Mighty Music
April 30, 2007, 17 years ago
Mighty Music have signed the notorious Danish metal band THORIUM for a two-album record deal.
The band is currently finishing up their comeback album at Sweden's Berno Studio and Mighty Music will be presented for a final mix within the next coming weeks. According to a press release, the label has "listened to some raw mixes already, are certain, they have an absolute killer release within reach. The style of music is death metal. Brutal with a melodic and riff oriented flow."
Thorium released two strong albums on Diehard Music in the year 2000 and 2002 to much acclaim in the European metal press with sales exceeding 5,000 copies. As Diehard decided to close-down the company, it lead Thorium to take a break for some years to concentrate on the song writing and finding out what to be done with the band. The result of the break, is a vicious come back in 2007 with a new, strong line-up, ready to unleash their third album Feral Creation in the autumn/winter of 2007/2008 supported by extensive touring in Europe.
On Mighty Music's vinyl sub-label Prutten Records the Thorium 7" EP Cast From Hell (with three unreleased songs from 2005) will be released in May 2007. Check out www.myspace.com/thoriumdeathmetal for more info.
