PEARL JAM''s Mike McCready (pictured at left) and former GUNS N' ROSES bassist Duff McKagan have formed a new supergroup with former SCREAMING TREES' drummer Barrett Martin. The new group is currently unnamed, and the band is looking to tap multiple vocalists to help flesh out ideas new and old.

"Duff and Barrett and I got together. We wrote some new stuff and we took some of those old MAD SEASON demos from that [unreleased] second Disinformation record, so we are trying to find something to do with those," McCready told Billboard. "We're talking to Jaz (Coleman) from KILLING JOKE and I've been trying to find some singers to work on some of that stuff."

In a new interview with Kyle Meredith from The Weekly Feed, Mike McCready sheds more light on the Deluxe Edition release of Above (details here), the first and only album to be completed by Seattle-based rock supergroup Mad Season, which featured McCready alongside vocalist Layne Staley (ALICE IN CHAINS), drummer/percussionist Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees) and bassist John Baker Saunders (THE WALKABOUTS, LAMONT CRANSTON BAND). New unreleased songs are featuring Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees), who had sang backups on Above.

McCready also reveals that more leftover tracks from that era may see new life in the above mentioned group he’s formed with Duff McKagan, Barret Martin, and Jaz Coleman.
