VH1 Classic Celebrates Release Of AC/DC's New Album With Total AC/DC 24-Hour Marathon

VH1 Classic commemorates one of the baddest bands in the land, AC/DC, who is returning after eight years with a new album, Black Ice. The network for 'classic music lovers' is celebrating the group's new release, which hits stores October 20, with a 24-hour marathon on Sunday, October 19. Sit back and rock out during Total AC/DC as VH1 Classic takes you through archival footage of the group, BBC concerts and one of the group's most seminal concerts, Live at Donnington. Throughout the day fans can reminisce on some of the greatest concerts, videos and footage of the group.
Classic in Concert: No Bull Airs at 4:00 PM ET/PT
A follow-up to their 1991 concert film masterpiece Live At Donnington, No Bull was designed to capture the over-the-top spectacle that was the 1996 "Ballbreaker" tour. Filmed live on July 19, 1996 at the Plaza De Toro De Las Ventas, a remarkable space usually designated for bull fights, this footage showcases Angus Young at his best.
BBC Crown Jewels: Rock Goes To College: AC/DC Airs at 6:00 PM ET/PT
Rock Goes To College, was a BBC series that ran between 1978 and 1981 on British television. Up-coming rock oriented bands were showcased live from small venues and broadcast simultaneously on television and radio during a 40-50 minute live performance. This memorable episode, taped on October 28, 1978 from University of Essex, Colchester includes live performances of 'Live Wire', 'Problem Child', 'Sin City', 'Bad Boy Boogie', 'Whole Lotta Rosie', 'I'm A Rocker' and 'Let There Be Rock'.

Always a spectacular live presence, AC/DC manage to take their recorded output to a whole new level in the live arena, combining some classic hard rock sounds with a level of showmanship that never fails to raise a smile. Classic in Concert: Live at Donnington, showcases the 2-hour performance that included real cannons, the Hells Bell, an inflatable Rosie and an inflatable Angus.
BBC Crown Jewels: Sight & Sound in Concert: AC/DC Airs at 10:00 PM ET/PT
This memorable concert taped on October 29, 1977 from the Hippodrome, UK, features band members Angus Young, Malcolm Young, Bon Scott, Mark Evans and Phil Rudd. The pioneers of hard rock and heavy metal perform 'Let There Be Rock', 'Problem Child', 'Bad Boy Boogie', 'T.N.T.' and many others. This concert is part of the BBC Crown Jewels series, which highlights rare performances from the BBC archives never before seen in the US.
