Launch Radio Networks has issued the following report from Don Kaye:

HELLYEAH releases it's self-titled debut disc today (April 10th), featuring a new all-star collaboration between members of PANTERA, MUDVAYNE and NOTHINGFACE.

Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul was initially hesitant about joining the new project, but told us that Nothingface bassist Jerry Montano helped push him over the edge: "He just kept insisting, you know. He just called me seven or eight times. He's like, 'Dude, you gotta do this, you gotta be the drummer, man,'and finally one night he caught me when I'd been drinking and listening to some kick-ass music, and it just dawned on me. I just said, 'You know what? Let's give this thing a shot, you know.'And the next day I got on the phone with all the guys, and I just loved everybody's attitude. Everybody was so gung-ho about doing this thing, nobody had any ego, and it just really felt like the right thing to do. So that's why I decided to become part of it."

Hellyeah is the first group Paul has played in since DAMAGEPLAN, the band he formed with his brother and guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott after the breakup of Pantera. "Dimebag" was shot and killed by a disturbed gunman during a Damageplan show in December of 2004.

In addition to Paul and Montano, Hellyeah features Nothingface guitarist Tom Maxwell, Mudvayne guitarist Greg Tribbett and Mudvayne singer Chad Gray.

An exclusive version of Hellyeah's album, featuring a bonus acoustic demo version of the song 'Alcohaulin' Ass', will be available at Best Buy.
