VOIVOD Bassist Blacky Allegedly Writing Material For New Album
October 31, 2010, 14 years ago
According to a post on the BW&BK; BraveBoard (found here), VOIVOD bassist Blacky (Jean-Yves Thériault) and guitarist Dan Mongrain are currently writing material for a new album. The new music is said to be in the style of the band's Dimension Hatross / Nothingface era.
In addition, Blacky allegedly states that the reason he didn't play on Voivod’s 2009 album, Infini, was because studio bassist Jason Newsted (ex-METALLICA) wanted to finish the music that late guitarist Denis ‘Piggy’ D’Amour had planned with Newsted in mind.
Watch for additional Voivod updates, coming soon.
