WHIPLASH Confirmed For Germany's Wacken Open Air Festival 2009

Reactivated New Jersey thrash metallers WHIPLASH are the latest act confirmed for the Wacken Open Air Festival 2009, which is scheduled to take place from July 30th - August 1st in Wacken, Germany.
Confirmed acts for the festival now include: AMON AMARTH, BORKNAGAR, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, CALLEJON, CATHEDRAL, DRAGONFORCE, EINHERJER, EPICA, GWAR, HAMMERFALL, IN EXTREMO, IN FLAMES, KAMPFAR, KINGDOM OF SORROW, KORPIKLAANI, MACHINE HEAD, MOTÖRHEAD, NAPALM DEATH, NEVERMORE, AXEL RUDI PELL, TESTAMENT, TRISTANIA, WALLS OF JERICHO, WHIPLASH.
Whiplash have released the fourth in a four-part series of video blogs. The clip was shot at Concrete Island Studio and features two brand new songs entitled 'Swallow The Slaughter' and 'Fight Or Flight'.

Whiplash will enter the studio in early March to begin recording Unborn Again, with guitarist/vocalist Tony Portaro handling the production duties. Co-producing the effort will be Harris Johns, who has previously worked with CORONER, HELLOWEEN, KREATOR , SEPULTURA, SODOM and VOIVOD, among many others.
The band will also document the full recording session and will edit the footage into a free bonus DVD.
Whiplash's current lineup: Tony Portaro - guitar/vocals, Joe Cangelosi (ex-Kreator) - drums, Rich Day Bass (ex-PRIMAL SCREAM) - bass.
