To mark their 25th anniversary and summer tour with MÖTLEY CRÜE, POISON has issued a two CD set containing 35 songs. All the hits that made Bret and the boys famous have been repackaged once again – a mere six months after the release of Nothin’ But A Good Time: The Poison Collection – which came with a bonus bandana. Increasing the bitterness towards this cash grab is the fact that since the release of their 20th anniversary Best Of in 2006, the glam rockers have only managed one new album – the all covers Poison’d. Just how many times die-hard fans will open their wallets, or purses, to pay for the same songs over and over remains to be seen. But the bottom line is, when the weather gets warmer, an ice cold beer tastes that much better, and the cougars are on the prowl – there’s nothing better than cranking ‘Look What The Cat Dragged In’, ‘I Want Action’ and ‘Unskinny Bop’. As the days get hotter, so do the nights. But come on C.C., give us some new material already.
