This highly anticipated show at a sold-out venue of 20,000 fans at iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre was a night of seismic energy and intense performances from Korn, Gojira, and Spiritbox. With each band bringing their unique sound and spirit, the concert was nothing short of spectacular in West Palm Beach, FL.

Spiritbox

Opening the night was Spiritbox, a band I've admired for a while but had never seen live until this show. Their set was an intriguing mix of ethereal melodies and crushing breakdowns, immediately grabbing the crowd’s attention. They kicked things off with "Cellar Door," followed by "Jaded" and the haunting "Angel Eyes," showcasing vocalist Courtney LaPlante's dynamic range. The highlight of their set was their latest single, "Soft Spine," which blended atmospheric sounds with heavy, chugging guitars. They closed out with fan-favorites "Circle With Me" and the brutal "Holy Roller," leaving the crowd buzzing with excitement.

Gojira

Next up was Gojira, a band I'd followed for years but was seeing live for the first time. Their appearance at the 2024 Summer Olympics catapulted them to a new level of global fame, and they absolutely lived up to the hype. From the moment they opened with "L'enfant sauvage," the band delivered an unrelenting, fiery set. Joe Duplantier’s powerful growls and Mario Duplantier’s drumming were a force to be reckoned with, particularly on tracks like "Toxic Garbage Island" and "The Cell."

"Flying Whales" felt monumental as the crowd erupted, and "Silvera" brought a thunderous wave of energy. The nod to French history with "Mea culpa (Ah! Ça ira!)" was a clever touch, blending tradition with their modern, progressive metal sound. Closing with "Amazonia," Gojira left an indelible mark on the night, easily one of the most crushing and engaging performances of the evening.

Korn

Celebrating over 30 years in the industry, Korn took the stage with an electrifying presence. Jonathan Davis and crew dove into their set with "Here To Stay," and it was an immediate explosion of nostalgia and energy. The setlist was a well-crafted mix of classics and newer material, with "Got The Life," "A.D.I.D.A.S.," and "Blind" sending the crowd into a frenzy.

The moment the band incorporated a snippet of Metallica’s “One” into “Shoots And Ladders” was a clever surprise, seamlessly blending their nu-metal roots with metal history. "Twist" and "Make Me Bad" showcased the raw intensity Korn is known for, while the encore of "Falling Away From Me," "Oildale (Leave Me Alone)," and the iconic "Freak On A Leash" was the perfect capstone to their set. After over three decades, Korn proved they are still one of the most influential forces in metal.
