The second edition of the Worcester, MA based Stormbringer Fest kicked off on July 14. Day one was headlined by Destructor, playing their '85 debut, Maximum Destruction. Other notables were rising Philly act Sonja and New Yorkers, Shadowland.

If you're going to call yourself Legendary, you better bring something special to the table and the trio did, sporting 12 string, double neck guitar, a double neck bass/guitar hybrid and for good measure, a guest violinist. These guys are in dire need of a strings endorsement!

Throne Of Iron, the self-described trio of "Pizza delivery guys, from the scenic hills & cornfields of Indiana, who did too much  Robitussin (cough medicine) and decided to play heavy metal," brought an easy going, hilarity to the night, while Knight and Gallow  offered some unreleased teasers from their forthcoming album, on No Remorse. Texas' Rygar and Bastard Cross were also on the bill.

A full recap of the two-day event will be posted shortly. Until then, here's some photos.
