The last day of a festival is always bittersweet, but no sentimentality from these acts, even if Mille Petrozza got the crowd to sing “Happy Birthday” to Kreator drummer Ventor, during a set geared towards the latter day material.

First must see of the day were the brothers Cavalera (with Max's son on bass), storming through a set of vintage Sepultura (pre-Roots, albeit predominately from the earliest albums that they've since re-recorded). Tobias Sammet brought along an all-star musical line-up, ton of stage sets/props and several guest vocalists (Seven Spires' Adrienne Cowan, Magnum mainstay Bob Catley, Pretty Maids' Ronnie Atkins and for the first time, H.E.A.T. singer Kenny Leckremo) for an Avantasia retrospective. Billy Gibbons and ZZ Top doled out a heavy dose of the blues, as well as a few of the ‘80s video hits.

Satyricon came onstage, literally, waving the flag for Norwegian black metal and delivered a set that touched on albums dating back to Nemesis Divina. For many, that was the defacto headliner, as only Greta Van Fleet remained. Enjoy a snippet of the day's activities.

A much more detailed report, on the whole event, will be posted next week.
