AEROSMITH Drummer JOEY KRAMER Taking "Temporary Leave Of Absence"; Will Sit Out Band's 2022 Concert Dates
March 25, 2022, 2 years ago
According to USA Today, Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer has "regrettably made the decision to sit out the band's concerts in 2022 so he can focus his full attention on his family during these uncertain times," according to a statement from the band. Kramer was estranged from Aerosmith in 2019 but returned in 2020.
While the statement notes that "he and the band look forward to his future performances with Aerosmith," (drum tech) John Douglas will be stationed behind the drum kit while Kramer "takes a temporary leave of absence."
As part of the continued celebration around their 50th anniversary, four-time Grammy®-winning and Diamond-certified rock legends, Aerosmith have announced the return of their Las Vegas residency, Aerosmith: Deuces Are Wild, at Dolby Live at Park MGM, beginning Friday, June 17, 2022.
Aero Force One Member pre-sales are underway. General public on sales begin Thursday March 31 at 10 AM, PT. VIP Upgrades will be available during the pre-sales. Tickets here.
