Japan's BLOOD STAIN CHILD did a brief tour through Russia in December 2011. Nippon Project caught up with the band when they hit Moscow; an excerpt from the interview is available below:

NP: Please, tell about your new album Epsilon. Did the concept of your works change with the introduction of female vocals?

Ryo (bass/vocals): "By adding female vocals to the music the variations and possibilities expanded, so basically we could broaden our musical horizons and there are many more perspectives with this kind of change. There is no special theme behind the album, though."

NP: Maybe you plan any other changes in music or sound in future?

Ryo: "The loud parts of the music will not change, that's for sure. We won't become pop, don't be afraid. Basically it's going to be a metal sound, a metal hybrid."

NP: What songs would you recommend to listen to those who just start to listen to Blood Stain Child?

Sophia (vocals): "I would say 'Stargazer'. I think it's the most popular song among the fans. That's what I get from everybody, from around the world."

NP: Yesterday you had a show in St. Petersburg, what are your impressions about it?

Ryo: "Too many crazy people compared to Japan. People jumped on stage, we had too many people stage-diving, and they were dancing and (Ryo is showing how the fans were head-banging on stage, everyone laughs). It was such a strong response from the crowd it looked like we were playing together, like audience and band becomes one."

NP: So it was ok for you when the people started getting on stage?

Sophia: "Yes, of course. The crazier the better!"

Ryo: "We don't get this kind of stuff in Japan, it's very rare."
