BRET MICHAELS Talks About Health, New Solo Album, POISON's 25th Anniversary Collection
March 9, 2011, 13 years ago
POISON singer BRET MICHAELS spoke with Gary Graff from Billboard.com recently about a number of topics. A few excerpts from the chat follow:
Michaels on his health: "I feel absolutely great, man. I'm up, I'm walking, I'm exercising. Considering how much my body's been through since last April, I feel pretty damn good. I feel lucky. It just wasn't my time."
On new album, Get Your Rock On: "This one is primarily straight-up rock songs, which I think people will like. I've written a lot of good stuff over the last few years that I think are just good rock songs. I feel really strong about it."
A new collection, A Double Dose of Poison: "(It's a) greatest hits...and a lot of the B-sides and different stuff on there. It's basically commemorative of the 25th anniversary and sort of like a CD program of the songs we'll be doing."
On Poison's upcoming tour with MÖTLEY CRÜE: "Rock fans spoke up and said what a great tour this will be, to see those bands with that kind of energy and stage shows. So I want to go out this summer, regardless of what's been said and what's been done...Really, it means nothing to me. What matters is I go out and have fun with my band on our 25th anniversary. That's all."
