DAMON JOHNSON Guests On In The Trenches With RYAN ROXIE, Talks Working With BROTHER CANE, ALICE COOPER And LYNYRD SKYNYRD (Video)

This week's episode of the In The Trenches With Ryan Roxie podcast features special guest, Damon Johnson (Brother Cane, Alice Cooper, Black Star Riders, Lynyrd Skynyrd). Check out the complete chat below.

In The Trenches With Ryan Roxie is a podcast hosted by Alice Cooper guitarist Ryan Roxie. The show features in-depth conversations with the world's hardest working musicians and entertainers... the ones that grind, the ones that commit, the ones who make their dreams come true... in the trenches.

Damon Johnson & The Get Ready recently released their new video for the third single from Battle Lessons, “Can’t Clap Any Louder”. The clip was directed by Damon's friend Rob Arthur (who is also the keyboardist for Peter Frampton).

The video presents Johnson as a global-hopping guitar-wielding superhero type, visiting such exotic locations as the Taj Mahal, the Great Wall of China, London Bridge and New York City's Times Square.

Of the track Damon says, “The lyrics to 'Can't Clap...' are me observing various levels of narcissism found only on social media, from mega high profile stars to just regular common folk.” He adds, “The idea of me flying around like Superman was totally Rob Arthur's (who also directed The Get Ready in 'Talk Yourself Into Anything'), and I immediately said 'Hell yes!' He knocked it out of the park in making what is hands down my favorite video for any song I've ever released in my entire career.”

Videos for the previous two singles from Battle Lessons, "Talk Yourself Into Anything" and "Battle Lessons", can be seen below. Order your copy of the album now at this location.
