Petrucci: "Complacency is the enemy. In order to move forward and continue to try to do great things you have to constantly challenge yourself. We wanted each of these songs to pack a punch, and one of the ways for us to do that was to keep most of them pretty direct. In our case, that also meant trying to keep them below the six-minute mark. And I gotta tell you, that’s a challenge for us!"

Dream Theater and BraveWords are premiering 'Along For The Ride', a brand new track featured on their upcoming self-titled album.
Dream Theater – the band’s 12th studio release overall, and fourth with Roadrunner Records – will be released September 24th. The nine-track disc was recorded at Cove City Studio in Glen Cove, Long Island, with guitarist John Petrucci producing and Richard Chycki (RUSH) engineering and mixing. It’s the band’s second album with drummer Mike Mangini, and the first on which he was a part of the writing process from day one.
