HELIX Drummer On Reunion Rehearsals - "It Was Like We Had Never Left; We All Fell Right Into The Groove"

HELIX frontman Brian Vollmer has checked in with the following update:
"This week I was busy with a variety of Helix projects plus trying to get my other property ready to rent. In between trying to paint, move walls, and sand floors I’ve been running back and forth to Planet Helix, jumping on the computer or telephone and doing all the other Helix business that needs to be done. This includes advancing all our upcoming gigs, which means booking flights, arranging airport parking and hotels, and a myriad of other seemingly insignificant details, which together make a huge difference in how the date will run. With Sean (Kelly) leaving to join Nelly Furtado, we had to arrange a fairly quick transition to Daryl (Gray) playing bass for our next show in Lewisporte, Newfoundland. This meant arranging practices in Kitchener (thanks Brent for handling this for me!) and changing the flights. It all seems simple, but usually takes hours/days to accomplish.
Last week we got Fritz/Brent/Daryl/and myself together for a photo session so we could have a picture to send our agents. We took about 250 shots and kept 5 of the best, but there were plenty of shots to choose from. Once again, Brent spent hours working on the shots. The guys also got together for a couple of practices in Kitchener. Fritz told me, '…it was like we had never left. We all fell right into the groove...'
