IRON MAIDEN - Ed Force One Too Heavy To Land At Dortmund Airport For Upcoming Headline Show At Rock Im Revier 2016; Düsseldorf Confirmed As New Destination

According to Germany's Spiegel Online (as translated by BraveWords), metal legends won't be landing their new Ed Force One 747-400 in Dortmund as many fans expected when they headline the Rock im Revier festival on May 27th. According to a Twitter entry posted by the Dortmund Airport, the plane is too heavy to land at their facility now that the band has upgraded from previous 757 incarnation of Ed Force One.

Express.de has confirmed that Iron Maiden will land instead on May 26th in Düsseldorf, Germany at approximately 12:00 noon CET and make the trip to the festival using a traditional tour bus.

Iron Maiden’s The Book Of Souls tour landed in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 26th. Good quality fan-filmed footage from the BOK Centre can be seen below.

Iron Maiden's setlist on the night was as follows:

“If Eternity Should Fail”
“Speed Of Light”
“Children Of The Damned”
“Tears Of A Clown”
“The Red And The Black”
“The Trooper”
“Powerslave”
“Death Or Glory”
“The Book Of Souls”
“Hallowed Be Thy Name”
“Fear Of The Dark”
“Iron Maiden”

Encore:
“The Number Of The Beast”
“Blood Brothers”
“Wasted Years”
