JAMES RIVERA - "The Tribute Thing Was A Solution For Me"

Greece's Rockpages has issued an interview with vocalist James Rivera (HELSTAR, SEVEN WITCHES) regarding his tribute band SABBATH JUDAS SABBATH. In the following excerpt, Rivera talks about the logic behind such a band:
Q: What made you decide to form a band like this one?
A: "It all started because, nowadays, in order to survive in the music business, you have to do other things to make ends meet. So the tribute thing was a solution for me... as a matter of fact, I had been doing this since the DESTINY'S END days... even before that. When you write, rehearse and record an album it takes 1 - 2 months and then another couple of months for the tour. That leaves 8 months of the year doing absolutely nothing! So, you need to fill that gap for creative and financial reasons. That’s why I said that I should do some shows in small clubs playing songs that I grew up with and mean a lot to me. In addition to all that, I needed those shows to keep my voice in shape. That was the real emotional reason why I started the tribute bands."
