Korea's YB Announce New Album; First English Language Single To Be Released In February

YB, fronted by its charismatic and multi-talented frontman Do-Hyun Yoon, is the biggest hard rock band in Korea. YB has announced the release of its first English-language single, ‘Cigarette Girl’, in the US and the UK on February 18th and its accompanying video on February 27th. The band is managed by prolific music manager Doug Goldstein, who handled the career of GUNS N’ ROSES for almost two decades, as well as DANZIG, BLIND MELON and many others.
This year, YB has set their sights on translating their massive Korean popularity into a worldwide phenomenon.
That spirit can be heard in ‘Cigarette Girl’, an ode to a beauty who was too hot to handle for his bandmates. “So now, it’s just me left who never tried anything so far/Get outta my way, here I go!”
“It’s a simple, but smart song,” explains Do-Hyun. “There’s plenty of humor, love and many different emotions expressed. It’s got a great deal of energy and it’s written in a way that we can mess with it in the middle when we play it live.”“Our music has never followed trends,” observes Do-Hyun, “It has a core of classic rock, and we like to keep it fairly raw. Our true potential comes out live on-stage. We want to die touring the world.”
