BW&BK; scribe Carl Begai recently caught up with LOUDNESS vocalist Minoru Niihara to discuss life in the aftermath of drummer Munetaka Higuchi's death last year, his other band XYZ-A's new album, and the surprise announcement that Loudness will be playing Germany's Bang Your Head Festival in July 2010. An excerpt from the conversation is available below:

Niihara: "Yes, Loudness will be part of the Bang Your Head Festival next year. And we are planning on a short tour in Europe either before or after the festival. At that time, I’m sure we’ll be able to introduce our new drummer to all the fans. We are looking forward to the tour in Europe very much. I hope everything will go as we plan."

The interview will be available in the Features section soon. For info on the Bang Your Head festival visit www.bang-your-head.de.
