MEGADETH frontman Dave Mustaine has posted the following message:

"Droogies!

I just got done watching the UFC championship at the Staple Center. I have to say that I thought that this was a waste of money and time.

Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida got beat, fair and square, by a better fighter. But the judges and the event that I just sat through GAVE the fight to Machida!

I drove four hours through traffic for this? I think the UFC needs to send me back my money, and if this is the way these fights are; tired, mismatched, and ultimately unfair in the decisions, and THE ENTIRE ARENA KNEW Shogun won, then I would rather watch people fight on CNN for the H1N1 virus vaccine, or get my money's worth watching it on Spike.

What a waste of time. At least the Staples Center has good beer and hotdogs. :-)

If we ever play for Dana and his outfit, since we did the Affliction fight, he has to promise the dudes will actually fight instead of playing "high-fives" all night!

Ugh! And in an economy like this, I hired a driver and rode all the way from San Diego, then to Manhattan Beach to pick up our manager's assistant Isaac for a main event like this??

Oy vey! My daughters Chihuahuas are fiercer than that was. I would have given anything to see Arlovski, or Liddell, or GSP, or Matt Hughes, or any of these modern day Gladiators. I would have died and gone to heaven to see Fedor (or however you spell it) get it on again.

Anyway, now that 'that' is out of my belly, there were some awesome undercard bouts, Jorge Riviera, Joe Stevenson, and Anthony Johnson were great bouts!!

And if the main event would have been scored evenly or more to the point, fairly, I know that the Championship would have gone to Rua.

Man, I am horse from screaming, and whistling.

"Dave and the band came out for an encore at the time they were supposed to be done. (All other bands, both days, stuck exactly to the schedule.) He said they would let him squeeze in another song. Then he said, in a way that is totally Dave Mustaineish, he doesn’t like to follow the rules. He did technically play only one more song ('Holy Wars'), but in the middle he threw in an extra song ('Mechanix') so Megadeth ended up going way over time. Everyone loved it. JUDAS PRIEST, to stay on schedule, had to start their set just a few minutes later."
