MELIAH RAGE In Pre-Production For New Album
March 24, 2007, 17 years ago
US power metal heroes MELIAH RAGE has issued the following update:
"We would like to extend a hearty thank you and horns up for all the support we received on the road in the month of January. The tour was a success, and in spite of some brutal weather and technical mishaps along the way, we had a great time. The boys in METAL CHURCH were very gracious hosts, and we had a blast cruising the country with them. Lest we forget all the hard work of the road crew, who busted their asses each and every day - Hollywood Joe, Dan the Man, Rich Frey, and the incomparable Jeff James, tour manager extraordinaire. In the meantime, Tony (Nichols - guitar) has been busy writing music for the next record, and as we enter pre-production on some of the tunes, we are looking for a late 2007 release. The music thus far is heavier and more riff-oriented than the last two releases, but has all the elements of classic Meliah Rage. With The Deep And Dreamless Sleep (2006) finally seeing a release in Europe, we are hoping to be heading to those shores in the next year, with another stateside trek in the works for this summer. In the meantime, Jim (Koury - guitar) and Tony are waiting forward for the snow here in Boston to melt so they can break some speeding laws on their Harleys, Darren (Lourie - bass) is spending time with his three beautiful daughters, and Jim prepares to marry his long-time sweetheart at the end of this month. Stay tuned for pictures as there will be some special guests performing at the reception. Lastly, keep an eye open for the re-mastered release of the 1996 classic Death Valley Dream this coming spring."
