hot flashes news my ruin

MY RUIN vocalist Tairrie B. Murphy has posted the following message on Facebook calling out the narrow-minded haters she's been forced to deal with recently:

"I would not normally write something like this but sometimes it feels good to vent! I just got two really nasty messages sent to my inbox after posting the video below. It amazes me how disgusting, racist and ignorant some people can be. Yes, I used to be a rapper. Maybe I still am. Who knows? What I do know is that I have always stood in the truth of who I am as an artist. I have never tried to hide my past because I have no reason to. My past helped shape who I am today and I will never be ashamed of it.

I've always loved the true art of rap and the gangster rap classics and I always will. My love for certain aspects of hip hop goes deep, and you know this if you know me. If you are a fan of my rock band and this offends you, that is YOUR problem. I listen to all types of music and have never considered myself just a 'metal chick.' I truly appreciate the support so many of you show for my band but this is my personal page so if you think it's cool to request to follow me here, then talk shit to me because I used to be down with EAZY-E you are sadly mistaken. I am an artist and if you have an issue with my history, please feel free to delete me because if you post rude comments on my page or private message me with a bunch of misspelled words of hate which culminate in your saying I am not 'metal' and just a big fake, I will probably delete YOU."

PS: "I decided to dig a little something out of the vault so here's one for the haters. Sending out some old school love circa 1988."

And a little more from Tairrie:

"This classic photo was taken on the set of my rap video for 'Murder She Wrote' in 1990. Eazy-E was the first man in the music industry to believe in and sign me to his record label. Eazy passed away 19 years ago but he will always be remembered and live on through his music and legacy."

(Eazy E: September 7, 1963 - March 26, 1995)

In 2013, My Ruin released a video for the track 'Heretic Dreams', featured on the band's new album, The Sacred Mood. A behind-the-scenes studio video for the making of the album is also available:
